Welcome to In His Steps! This section will help you get started with the app and understand its features.

About the App

In His Steps is your daily Scripture companion featuring:

  • Daily readings with reflections from members of CFC ministries
  • Audio narration for meditative listening
  • Personal journal for your spiritual notes
  • Prayers and Bible readings
  • Background music for prayerful reflection The app is designed to help you develop a deeper relationship with God through daily Scripture engagement.

    Creating an Account

    To create an account: 1. Open the app and tap 'Login' 2. Tap 'Create Account' 3. Enter your email address, full name, and password 4. Tap 'Register' 5. Check your email for verification (if required) 6. You can now log in and start using the app Your account allows you to sync preferences across devices and access premium features.

    Device Management

    Learn how to manage your devices and understand device limits.

    Device Limits

    Each In His Steps subscription allows use on up to 2 devices simultaneously. This includes any combination of iOS, Android, or web devices. The limit ensures fair use and helps us manage server resources.

    Managing Your Devices

    To manage your devices: 1. Go to Settings > Manage Devices 2. Log in if prompted 3. View all your active devices with names and last-used dates 4. Tap 'Deactivate' next to any device you no longer use 5. Confirm deactivation You can now log in on a new device.

    What happens if I reach the device limit?

    If you try to log in on a 3rd device, you'll see a message listing your active devices and must deactivate one before proceeding. This protects your account from unauthorized access.

    Daily Readings

    Access today's reading from the home screen. Premium features include:

  • Audio narration: Tap the play button to listen
  • Choose your narrator in Settings > Narrator Voice
  • Adjust playback speed and volume in Settings > Audio Controls Swipe right or left to navigate between dates.

    Personal Journal

    Create your own spiritual reflections: 1. Go to the Journal section 2. Tap the + button to create a new entry 3. Add a title, date, and your thoughts 4. Save your entry 5. Edit or delete entries anytime Your journal entries are stored privately on your device.

    Audio Controls (Premium)

    Premium users can customize their audio experience:

  • Narrator Voice: Choose from different voices in Settings > Narrator Voice
  • Reading Speed: Adjust from 0.5x to 1.5x speed
  • Reading Volume: Control narration volume
  • Background Music: Adjust music volume independently Access all controls in Settings > Audio Controls.

    Personalize your reading experience:

  • Font Size: Adjust text size in the reading screen
  • Theme: The app automatically applies the current theme
  • Audio Settings: Configure narrator, speed, and volume in Settings
