  • Usage Data: Information about how you use the app to improve our services. Journal entries are NOT collected or transmitted to our servers. They are stored locally on your device only and are completely private to you.

    Journal Entries Privacy

    Your journal entries are:

  • Stored ONLY on your personal device
  • NEVER transmitted to our servers

  • Completely private and accessible only to you
  • Deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data

    Device Data

    To manage your subscription across devices, we collect:

  • Unique device identifier
  • Device name (e.g., 'iPhone 15 Pro')
  • Device type (iOS, Android, or Web) This information helps us enforce the 2-device limit per subscription and allows you to manage your active devices.

  • Provide and maintain the app's features (daily readings, prayers, Bible)
  • Manage your subscription and premium features

    Subscription Management

    Your email and device information are used to:

  • Activate and manage your premium subscription

  • Local Storage: Journal entries are stored EXCLUSIVELY on your device using secure storage methods. They are never sent to our servers.

  • Web Platform: On web browsers, data is stored using browser's localStorage with similar security practices.

    Data Retention

  • Your journal entries remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or clear app data. We do not have access to them.
  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • After account deletion, your data is removed from our servers within 30 days.
  • Cached content (legal pages, news) is refreshed periodically.

  • Third-Party Services

    In His Steps uses the following third-party services:

  • PayPal: Payment processing for premium subscriptions and Pay It Forward donations. PayPal's privacy policy applies to transactions.
  • Device Identification Services: To generate unique device identifiers for device management.
  • Content Delivery: Our servers host daily readings, prayers, and Bible content.

    PayPal Privacy

    When you make payments through PayPal:

  • Your payment information is handled by PayPal, not by In His Steps
  • We do not store your credit card or PayPal account details

    Account Deletion

    To delete your account: 1. Contact us at support@cfcablaze.com 2. We will verify your identity using your registered email 3. Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days 4. Journal entries stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the app

  • Children's Privacy

    In His Steps is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

    International Data Transfers

    Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
